At WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE (Mihama Base), a craft beer specialty shop in Inage Kaigan, Ise Kadoya Beer’s 29th anniversary beer, "Nikukyu IPA," has just been tapped.

MIHAMA BASE is a shop that lines up domestic and international craft beers, with draft beer at its core, and one of its charms is the wide range it keeps on tap, from staples to limited releases like this one. You can relax and enjoy a drink inside, of course, but since bottles and cans are also available for takeout, you can bring home labels that catch your eye and enjoy them later as well.

This "Nikukyu IPA" is ISEKADO’s 29th anniversary beer. It features the dry backbone of a West Coast IPA, layered with classic hop aromas reminiscent of citrus and pine, plus notes of mango and passion fruit. Once it hits the palate, stronger carbonation lifts the aroma, and after the fruity character spreads, it finishes cleanly while leaving a moderate bitterness behind.

Its design also highlights its pairing potential with meat dishes, making it especially easy to match with sausages and spiced plates. It has the satisfying drinkability you’d expect from a West Coast IPA, but the finish is brisk, making it a beer that works well as a first drink or alongside a meal.

The taps that day also included GUINNESS, KIRIN HEARTLAND, Hoegaarden White, STONE IPA, 8 Bit Brewing Dark Forces, Monkish Los Angeles Monkish of Anaheim, West Coast Brewing Triple Cone, and West Coast Brewing Blazing Buds 2026, creating a lineup filled with distinctive picks from Japan and abroad. If you want to enjoy a tasting session in Inage Kaigan, this is one spot worth keeping in mind.
