October 28 tap list
Craft beer pub Marumugi, located in Arakicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, has announced its beer menu for October 28. The two-beer lineup pairs a bright, seasonal IPA with a malt-forward Brown IPA. Prices are ¥1,300 for a large serving and ¥1,000 for a small serving.
MOONLIGHT IPA
MOONLIGHT IPA from South Shinshu Beer in Nagano is a 7.0% American IPA. Inspired by the autumn full moon, this limited beer offers expressive citrus and tropical-fruit aromas, followed by firm bitterness and a rounded body. Its pale golden color gives way to a deeper, lingering finish.
Brown IPA
The second new release is Brown IPA, a 6.5% American Brown IPA. Rich brown-ale malt character brings caramel and chocolate-like roast notes, while American IPA-style hops add a bright aroma and solid bitterness. It is a substantial limited beer in which malt depth and hop character meet.
Marumugi is a small beer pub on the second floor of Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, within walking distance of Yotsuya-sanchome Station. For an autumn evening, the two beers offer a focused comparison of aroma, bitterness, and malt richness.
