A five-beer lineup at Marumugi

Jibeer Bar Marumugi, a craft beer pub in Arakicho, Shinjuku, has announced its tap list for October 26. The selection brings together fruit-forward beers, a crisp pilsner, a hop-focused IPA, and a classic pale ale from breweries across Japan.

The lineup includes South Shinshu Beer’s Apple Hop Shinano Gold Ver., a 6.5% fruit beer made with Shinano Gold apples from Nagano. Its profile is described as a balance of refreshing apple character and malt-backed depth, making it a fitting choice for autumn drinking.

Ushitora Brewery’s 5.5% “Jikkuri Kotokoto Shikonda Pils” offers a more traditional direction. Brewed for an easy, highly drinkable profile, the pilsner is suited to a relaxed first pint or a beer to enjoy throughout a conversation.

Minoh Beer contributes two contrasting beers. KANSHA29 -Rice IPA- is a 6.0% anniversary beer with a fragrant aroma and a light, lively finish. The brewery’s 5.0% Japanese Peach Weizen, made with Kawanakajima Hakuto peaches, brings a richly aromatic fruit character and is presented as a chance to enjoy the last peaches of the season.

Also on tap is Ise Kadoya Beer’s 5.0% Classic Pale Ale. Its combination of expressive hop aroma and substantial flavor makes it a straightforward showcase of the pale ale style.

Large pours are ¥1,300 and small pours are ¥1,000. Located on the second floor of Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, Marumugi is a dedicated beer pub for exploring Japanese craft breweries in a relaxed setting. The pub is closed on Tuesdays and public holidays, so visitors should check its schedule before heading over.
