Sakamichi Brewing to Hold Lager Tasting Event in Tachikawa on March 26 and 27
Sakamichi Brewing in Tachikawa, Tokyo, will hold a two-day lager tasting and presentation, “Let’s Lager!”, at Sakamichi Taproom on March 26 and 27. The event lets attendees compare seven different lagers while learning about the style and brewing history, and advance reservations are required.
According to an Instagram post from Sakamichi Brewing, the event “Let’s Lager! (Lager Tasting & Presentation)” will be held on March 26 and 27 (19:00–20:00 each day). The venue is Sakamichi Taproom.
On the day, Sebastian Hohentanner, a lager enthusiast from BET Brewing / Tokyo Helles, will give the presentation. Participants will be able to taste seven lagers with distinct characteristics while hearing about the differences between lager styles and the history of brewing.
The post also notes that Sakamichi Brewing has worked with him from last year into this year to brew Tachikawa Helles. Rather than being just a tasting event, this one stands out for exploring lagers in the context of an actual collaboration brew.
The participation fee is JPY 2,200 for advance payment / JPY 2,500 for payment on the day. Reservations are required, and applications can be made through the form provided. Payment can be made at any Sakamichi Brewing location.
