Paint Palette Brewing to Hold TTO in Kichijoji, 15 Beers Including 2 Advance Releases
Paint Palette Brewing will hold a tap takeover at CRAFT BEER MARKET Atre Kichijoji in Tokyo's Kichijoji. The lineup will feature 15 beers, including two advance releases, and the brewery's distinctive use of ingredients such as sake lees and smoked coconut is another highlight.
Kobe-based brewery heads to Kichijoji
Paint Palette Brewing, based in Chuo Ward, Kobe, Hyogo, will hold a tap takeover at CRAFT BEER MARKET Atre Kichijoji in Tokyo's Kichijoji. In an Instagram post, the brewery announced the event as taking place "this weekend," and said brewery staff are also expected to be at the bar from around 5 p.m. on the day.
On its official website, the brewery describes its beers as something that "draws a variety of scenes." With the scenery of Kobe's port city and the craft beer culture it encountered in the United States as a backdrop, the brewery consistently focuses on combining ingredients and brewing techniques to create beers with vivid character.
The 15-tap lineup is the highlight
In this TTO, two advance releases will join the existing beers. The lineup shown in the post is as follows.
- GOLDEN MARGINS
- WIND FROM FARM
- BREATH OF TANO
- Drifted Weekend
- WHISPERING STREAM
- MIXED MEDIA I-III
- TIME TOWARD WARMTH
- SCENIC CONTOUR
- LAYERED MIRAGES
- HYPNOTIC GRAFITTI
- UNDER THE SUN
- STRONG FARMHOUSE ALE
What stands out in particular is the large number of beers made with ingredients such as sake lees, lemongrass, smoked coconut, and grape skins. Paint Palette Brewing's emphasis on "diversity" and "challenge" is reflected not just in the number of styles, but also in the breadth of ingredients it chooses.
A chance to compare and taste
At the venue, they will also sell a set that lets visitors compare the three batches of the rice Hazy IPA "MIXED MEDIA I-III," which is already being released across three batches. According to the Instagram post, it is a limited-edition offering made using the last cans from the first release, so it should be an especially scarce pour.
This TTO, in which a Kobe brewery shows off its identity at a Tokyo beer bar, looks like a chance to experience not only the beer itself but also the brewery's overall creative direction. A drink in Kichijoji should offer a glimpse of where Paint Palette Brewing stands right now.
