Nara Brewing Co., based in Nara City, has positioned LIGHTHOUSE as a year-round flagship beer. From this release onward, it stands alongside FUNCTION as one of the brewery's core offerings.

LIGHTHOUSE is a dark beer built for low-alcohol drinking with substance. It is defined by roasted aromas reminiscent of cacao and coffee, plus a smooth mouthfeel from oat malt. By layering several roasted malts, the brewery gives the beer a deeper aroma profile and a more gradual expression of flavor. The 350ml can is filled as a nitro can, and pouring it after a good shake produces a creamy head.

The initial distribution spans draft accounts and retail outlets in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Ishikawa, Shizuoka, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo and Nara. Draft placements include beer bars and craft beer stands, while cans are being handled by department stores, liquor shops and retailers in Nara Prefecture. Availability and tap status vary by store, so checking directly before visiting is the safest option. For a brewery that has built its reputation in Nara through a focused lineup of distinctive core beers and limited releases, LIGHTHOUSE now takes its place as a permanent beer to watch for throughout the year.
