Nara Brewing, a craft brewery based in Nara City, has begun shipping its German Pilsner DAYLONG.

Respecting the traditions of the style, DAYLONG uses German ingredients for all three core components: malt, hops, and yeast. Hallertau Hersbrucker contributes delicate floral notes and a soft meadow-like aroma, while Merkur adds spicy and herbal layers. Together, the hops create a balanced bitterness rather than an aggressively bitter profile.

According to Nara Brewing’s beer information, DAYLONG has an ABV of 5.0% and an IBU of 17. The beer combines malt sweetness and a subtle toastiness with a light, easy-drinking body. A pleasant bitterness remains on the finish, giving the beer enough character to reward attentive tasting while keeping it suitable for everyday drinking.

The first shipment information, current as of September 11, includes draft accounts such as Wine Dancer in Hakodate, Himalaya Table and Beer Cafe Mankan in Tokyo, Tir na nÓg in Hamamatsu, Bungalow in Kyoto, and umbrella RiB in Osaka. Cans are available through shops including Caliquors Tokyo, Isetan Shinjuku, JR Kyoto Isetan, and several retailers in Nara Prefecture. Dining venues receiving cans include Torichu Hanare Iidabashi and Bistro Smaiyu in Tokyo, as well as knot in Toyota, Aichi.

Availability and draft tapping dates vary by location, so customers are advised to check directly with each venue. Nara Brewing’s online store is scheduled to begin sales at noon on September 18. With floral, spicy, and herbal hop character supported by a clean malt profile, DAYLONG offers a polished interpretation of the German Pilsner tradition from one of Nara’s notable craft breweries.
