Tap List for 4/22 (Wed)
The beer pub `CRAFT BEER BASE BUD` in Osaka's Umeda announced its tap list for Wednesday, April 22. Opening hours are 16:00-22:30, with last call for beer at 22:00. Located on the B2 floor of Osaka Station First Building, it's an easy stop on the way home from work.
The day's lineup features 10 beers. From the shop original `Gentle Lion` to `Louche`, `Kunne`, `Album`, `Maple Bock`, `TYPHINA`, `Direct Current`, `Japanese Lager`, `Live By The Sun & Moon`, and `Patience & Fortitude`, the styles span a wide range. Pale ale, hazy anise ale, Schwarzbier, altbier, bock, kölsch, West Coast IPA, lager, and mixed-culture table beer are all represented, from easy-drinking to sharply defined styles.
The new taps announced for the day were `TYPHINA` and `Patience & Fortitude`. The latter was introduced in the post as a Czech-style pale lager and is served from a LUKR Nostalgie Tap into a well-chilled glass. As a food pairing suggestion, fried eggplant simmered in dashi was mentioned, so the lager's clean finish should pair nicely with a meal.
`CRAFT BEER BASE BUD` is a beer pub suited to days when you want to compare beers across styles. Because each tap has a distinct personality, there is plenty of room in how you choose: start with a light lager, or kick things off with the sharp edge of an IPA.
