Mie-based Himitsu Beer shared a travel report from its U.S. business trip and paired it with news about the return of Oise-chan, a white beer from the brewery in Ise. According to the post, the team stayed with the owner of a collaborating cidery in Portland, Oregon, then moved to Washington for the final night. They also visited breweries in Portland and Seattle and said those experiences will be reflected in future brewing.

Oise-chan is a 5.5% ABV white beer made with yuzu and coriander. The brewery describes it as a beer where those bright citrus and spice notes blend with yeast-derived banana-like fruity esters, creating a smooth and easy-drinking profile. Hops are kept to a minimum, so bitterness stays restrained, while a touch of bitterness still helps tighten the finish.

Himitsu Beer says this batch leans dry enough on paper, but still carries malt depth and strong ester character, giving it a more substantial drinking impression than the numbers alone suggest. The brewery recommends it with Japanese food, especially delicate dishes such as sashimi and tempura. As a reissue after selling out, the beer returns as a practical, food-friendly white beer from Ise rather than a one-off novelty.
