Kitazawa Konishi Stocks 16 Beers Spanning Hazy IPAs to Bitters
Kitazawa Konishi, a beer pub in Tokyo’s Shimokitazawa area, has highlighted 16 beers currently waiting in its refrigerator. The selection ranges from noodle-inspired Hazy IPAs and fruit-forward sours to a traditional bitter and a hoppy lager.
A wide-ranging refrigerator selection
Kitazawa Konishi, a beer pub in Tokyo’s Setagaya ward, has shared a roundup of beers currently available from its refrigerator. The list includes both recent arrivals and beers that have been chilling for a little while, creating a notably broad selection of styles and ingredients.
Udon Brewing contributes three Hazy IPAs: Tsukimi Udon, Zaru Udon, and Kakiage Udon. Their noodle-inspired names make them especially distinctive. Himitsu Beer adds four more options: Chili Hopper, a Chili IPA; Aurora Sour, a Citrus Sour; Chintaraichi, a Lychee Ale; and VS, a Soba Ale.
Minoh Beer’s Momo Weizen brings peach character to a soft, wheat-forward Weizen profile. Uchu Brewing’s lineup includes ATOM PASSIONFRUIT, described as a Tropical Smoothie Sour, along with the Smoothie Sour Ales KIMONO and COSMIC ZYME, plus KYOMEI, a West Coast IPA.
Matsumoto Brewery rounds out the selection with Pale Ale, Traditional Bitter, Session IPA, and Entertainment Punk, a Hoppy Lager. With hazy hop character, bright acidity, fruit flavors, bitterness, and lager refreshment all represented, the refrigerator offers plenty of directions for a tasting session.
Kitazawa Konishi presents itself as a Shimokitazawa beer restocking base. If one of these bottles or cans has been on your “meaning to try” list, this is a good opportunity to find it chilled and ready.
