A pint revived only on draft

On Saturday, March 21, at Craft Beer & Wine THE DODO HOUSE in Meguro, Ise Kadoya Beer’s former staple, "Imperial Red Ale," returned exclusively on draft. Today’s new tap opening was just one beer, and the shop describes it as an American Double Red Ale with a citrus aroma, a light mouthfeel, a substantial body, and a bitter finish that lingers.

The shop is a beer pub built around domestic craft beer, while also offering Japanese wine and Japanese spirits. It also serves a wide range of original Japanese-Western fusion dishes, and when using the bench seating there is no cover charge. Takeaway cups are available as well, making it an easy place to visit when you want to relax and linger over a glass.

Today’s lineup was:

- Ise Kadoya Beer "Imperial Red Ale"
- Jozan Beer "Mukoyama no Sakura"
- GARGERY "Estela"
- Kyoto Brewing "Shuku kyu 6 nichi"
- Karuizawa Q "Lazy Afternoon"
- Anglo Japanese Brewing "Joy Juice ver.3"
- Barbaric Works "Sunset Elixir"

The seven beers on offer center on revived labels, giving guests a mix of core beers and limited releases at the same time. A notice also says the shop will be closed temporarily the following day, so it would be wise to check the operating status before visiting.
