Limited-Brew "Hop Treasure"

Nanki Shirahama Nagisa Beer is a craft brewery based in Shirahama Town, Nishimuro District, Wakayama Prefecture. Founded in Nanki Shirahama in 1996, it has continued making beer rooted in the Shirahama locale.

The "Hop Treasure" introduced on Instagram this time is a limited-brew hazy pale ale from the brewery. In the post, it says the beer uses six kinds of hops in abundance, centered on the new hop variety "Krush," along with American and New Zealand hops. By layering the six hops at different timing points, the brewery says it drew out aromatic layers reminiscent of orange, tropical fruit, and melon.

It also uses oats and wheat malt, aiming not only for the cloudy character typical of hazy beers, but also for a soft mouthfeel. While giving it a juicy, fruity impression, the finish is kept dry, preserving a crisp drinking sensation. The post also mentions pairing it with spice-forward dishes like jerk chicken, making it a suggestion for enjoying its strong aroma alongside food.

A hazy style that evokes the openness of Shirahama's seaside, with aromas carefully built layer by layer. As a clearly distinctive beer, it has the kind of individuality that feels true to Nagisa Beer's limited brews.
