A bright, fruit-driven hop aroma

Nanki-Shirahama Nagisa Beer has begun selling Tropical Sunset. The beer uses six highly aromatic hop varieties, including Nelson Sauvin, creating an expressive aroma reminiscent of white grape, citrus and ripe fruit.

The beer places hop aroma at the center of the drinking experience. Its layered fruit character should appeal to drinkers who enjoy exploring the aromas created by modern hop varieties. As its name suggests, Tropical Sunset presents a vivid, tropical impression built around ripe-fruit notes.

A popular beer brewed every year

This is the fourth time Nanki-Shirahama Nagisa Beer has brewed Tropical Sunset. The brewery says the beer has been well received, leading it to brew the beer every year. The release follows Ume Ale, which launched ten days earlier.

Based in Shirahama, Nishimuro District, Wakayama, Nanki-Shirahama Nagisa Beer has continued brewing in close connection with its local setting. The brewery uses Tomida spring water from Shirahama as brewing water, aiming to draw out the character of its ingredients. It also produces unpasteurized, unfiltered craft beer and takes care to limit oxygen exposure during bottling to help preserve flavor.

Tropical Sunset is a beer to approach through its aroma first: white grape, citrus and ripe-fruit impressions, followed by the character of six aromatic hop varieties. Readers should check the brewery’s official announcements for current availability and storage information.
