Hop-Scotch Tokyo opened for business at 4:00 p.m. on May 7. In a post, the day’s taps were organized on the blackboard under the heading “Today’s Tap List.”

The four beers on offer were:

- Oni Densetsu “Kinkio Pale Ale”
- Oni Densetsu “NEW Hayashioni”
- Totopia Brewery “Loophobia”
- Mugi Zakkoku Kobo “Golden Beryl”

From Hokkaido’s Oni Densetsu came a classic, straightforward pale ale and “NEW Hayashioni,” a Hazy IPA. Totopia Brewery’s “Loophobia” stood out as a Hazy Triple IPA, while Mugi Zakkoku Kobo’s “Golden Beryl” was a saison-style beer, giving drinkers a chance to enjoy clear differences in character. The origins and styles varied widely, making this a lineup that worked well both for a first pint and for tasting side by side.

Hop-Scotch Tokyo is a beer pub in Fujimi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. This post also conveyed that it is a beer-focused spot, with a handwritten blackboard tap board that seems to reflect the mood of the day. The weekend notice for a “tako-pa” was also included, suggesting a relaxed atmosphere where beer and light food can be enjoyed together.
