Hop-Scotch Tokyo to Open at Noon on June 3 with Taro Morokoronbu and Eight Taps
Hop-Scotch Tokyo says it will open at noon on Wednesday, June 3 for its “Curry Wednesday!!” service, pairing a taro Morokoronbu lunch curry with an eight-beer tap list ranging from pilsner to barrel-aged stout.
Hop-Scotch Tokyo, a beer pub in the Iidabashi and Kagurazaka area of Tokyo, has announced its June 3 service. The bar will open at noon on Wednesday and serve a lunch curry of taro Morokoronbu as part of its regular “Curry Wednesday!!” lineup.
The beer selection spans a wide range of styles, making the lineup easy to approach with food. It starts with a pilsner and moves through IPA, hazy double IPA, a bourbon-barrel-aged stout, and several sour beers. For drinkers, that means there is room to start light, move into hop intensity, and finish with something richer or more tart.
The tap list for the day includes eight beers:
- Hop Kotan Brewing, "Upopo" (Pilsner), ABV 5%, IBU 25
- Trademark Brewing, "Codebreaker" (IPA), ABV 7%, IBU 75
- Totopia Brewery, "Diffusioohillia" (Hazy Double IPA), ABV 8.5%
- Firestone Walker Brewing, "Parabolita Mocha Latte" (Bourbon Barrel Aged Mklk Stout w/Vanilla Beans, Cocoa Nibs & Coffee), ABV 9.2%, IBU 40
- Oni-Densetsu, "Kin-Oni Pale Ale ADHA-1631 ver." (Pale Ale), ABV 5.5%, IBU 40
- Echoes Brewing, "The Wave" (Double IPA), ABV 8.5%, IBU 80
- AJB Brewing, "Foeder Sour 2024" (Foeder Aged Sour Ale), ABV 5%
- 3Sons Brewing, "Smooth Ops Piña colada" (Sour Ale w/Pineapple & Coconut), ABV 6%
Located on the first floor of Inoue Building in Fujimi, Chiyoda-ku, Hop-Scotch Tokyo fits the profile of a beer pub that invites both a casual lunch stop and a focused tap-list session. The mix of styles suggests a day built for pairing food with beer rather than choosing one over the other.
