New Taps at Hop-Scotch Tokyo

The beer pub Hop-Scotch Tokyo in Fujimi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo announced its tap update for May 29. On Thursdays, it opens at 4:00 p.m., and the lineup inside is packed with distinctive beers that catch the eye of craft beer fans. This time, the selection spans everything from Firestone Walker Brewing to IPA, Double IPA, hazy beers, and sours.

The standout is Parabolita Mocha Latte from Firestone Walker Brewing. As described by its full name, Bourbon Barrel Aged Milk Stout w/ Vanilla Beans, Cocoa Nibs & Coffee, it is a substantial beer that layers barrel-derived depth with mocha latte-like elements. It is a beer for those who want to take their time and enjoy the layers of aroma.

Among the other taps are Kin-Oni Pale Ale ADHA-1631 ver. from Oni-Densetsu, which lets you enjoy the contours of hops; Space Beach (IPA) from Trademark Brewing, which should deliver firm bitterness and body; and The Wave (Double IPA) from Echoes Brewing, another beer expected to finish with force.

Also on tap are Rippleohobia (Hazy Pale Ale) and Biasphobia (Hazy Triple IPA) from Totopia Brewery, which invite curiosity about the balance between lightness and haze; Foeder Sour 2024 (Foeder Aged Sour Ale) from AJB Brewing, for a sour-driven change of pace; and Smooth Ops Piña colada (Sour Ale w/ Pineapple & Coconut) from 3Sons Brewing, which brings in tropical nuances. The range of flavors is quite wide.

Hop-Scotch Tokyo is known as an easy stop in the Iidabashi and Kagurazaka area. Whether you start with a heavy stout or jump in with hop-driven sharpness, this is a tap list that changes how you build your session. It is the kind of place that makes you want to taste your way through the lineup and find the beer that matches your mood that day.
