Uchoten Brewing to Hold TTO at BEER TAP HONMACHI in Matsumoto on January 24
Nagano-based Uchoten Brewing announced that it will hold a TTO (Tap Take Over) at BEER TAP HONMACHI in Matsumoto City on January 24. According to the post, in addition to the release of the Vienna Lager brewed with Mr. Maruyama, the brewery will pour a total of seven taps of Uchoten Brewing beers, including two prerelease offerings.
Nagano-based Uchoten Brewing will hold a TTO at BEER TAP HONMACHI, a popular beer spot in Matsumoto. The announcement was posted at 11:45 p.m. on January 23 and said the event would take place the following day, the 24th.
The highlight this time is the release of Vienna Lager mentioned in the post. It is introduced as a beer “brewed together” with Mr. Maruyama to mark his graduation, and it sounds like a meaningful pour for the brewery as well. In addition, the lineup for the day is set to include this Vienna Lager plus two prerelease beers, filling seven taps in total with Uchoten Brewing offerings.
The appeal of a TTO is being able to experience one brewery’s character all at once. If you compare the beers, including the two prerelease selections, while keeping the lager at the center, you should get a three-dimensional sense of where Uchoten Brewing stands right now. The post also says, “I’ll be there from opening, so let’s raise a toast!” so it is also worth noting as a chance to talk directly with the brewers while drinking.
Nagano’s craft beer scene has been building momentum through collaborations between local taprooms and specialty shops. Uchoten Brewing’s Matsumoto TTO should also be a night that lets people feel that energy first-hand.
