Beer House Hobbit, a beer pub in Kawaramachi, Hirakata, Osaka, will hold its regular Tuesday Taco Tuesday service on September 22, 2026. The pub will be open from 6:00 p.m. to midnight, with a substitute holiday scheduled for September 23.
The featured dish is “Tacos de Mochi,” made with mochi that was unexpectedly popular during the pub’s anniversary festival. Developed jointly with staff member Morita, the tacos combine spicy seasoned minced meat with mochi offering a subtle sweet-and-spicy character. The unusual pairing adds a distinctive texture to a familiar taco format.
The recommended food menu also includes potato chips, grilled edamame, and Japanese beef steak from the thigh. These options are suited to both casual beer snacks and a more substantial meal.
Six draft beers will be available: Laurier Dry Lager from Kuninocho Brewery in Osaka; Aria from Wuchawteng Brewery in Nagano; XPA from Shima Brewery in Mie; Lager Strikes Back 02 Pure Black Lager from Shimanami Brewery in Hiroshima; Pearl Salt Gose from Shima Brewery; and Blumen Ale from Hino Brewing in Shiga. The post marks the beers opened that day with a special symbol.
The tap list covers a broad range of styles, from crisp lagers to a hop-forward XPA, a saline gose, and a dark pure black lager. The tacos should pair naturally with a refreshing lager, while the gose and XPA offer sharper contrasts to the savory filling and mochi.
Beer House Hobbit offers a varied draft selection in a relaxed pub setting in Hirakata. Menu availability may change, so guests should confirm details with the pub before visiting.
