Sakamichi Brewing, based in Tachikawa, Tokyo, is known as a brewery that works across a wide range, from classic styles to modern interpretations. In this Instagram post, it introduced two new beers from @wcbshizuoka, making for a lineup that invites side-by-side tasting at the shop.

The two beers that have arrived this time are below.

- Sidechain Series 08 / American Pale Ale / 6.0%
- Built while carrying forward the recipes from earlier entries in the series, 04 and 07, but with a changed hop composition
- Mosaic Incognito added before fermentation
- Dry hopping uses Jackson Pink from Hollingbery Hops, a first for WCB, along with Mosaic CRYO
- The aroma is designed around stone fruit notes reminiscent of orange, pink grapefruit, and yellow peach, layered with resinous and grassy impressions

- Hop-Rhythmic #3 / Hazy IPA / 7.0%
- The third release in a series focused on Hazy IPA and terpenes
- The balance with hop aroma has been adjusted based on feedback from previous releases
- Built around berry character, with notes of muscat grape and citrus also coming through
- Terpene-derived grassy, richly dense expression is added, resulting in a beer with depth

Sakamichi Brewing is a brewery that brews beer in Tachikawa while also developing a modern, welcoming space. These two WCB Shizuoka beers are well suited to beer fans who want to spend time at Sakamichi's taproom carefully comparing hop design and aroma differences. In particular, the sharp citrus character of the American Pale Ale and the berry-forward depth of the Hazy IPA make each beer's individuality stand out when tasted side by side, even though they arrived together.
