Taps Updated on May 29 in Ebisu
The beer pub "TBE Brewing" in Tokyo's Ebisu Minami has released its KEG lineup dated May 29. In the post, while noting the possibility of temporary closures from this week into next, it provides a roundup of the current pours, including beers running low, along with the next "NEXT TAP BEER" selections.
Current Lineup
There are 10 beers on tap today. The lineup includes Koshien Outfield "Double Steel," Shiga Kogen Beer "Kasumi" and "Sono Juu No.10 IPA," Hino Brewing "Zutto Yare IPA," Nomcraft "7th Anniversary Sour IPA," Open Air "Clear Waves," Liquir Brewing "Wallflower," Hop Kotan Brewing "Misty Way," Black Tide "#490 Hazy Wave Ver.1.0," and Paint Palette "Under the Sun."
ABV ranges from a light 4.5% pour to a 7.5% IPA, with sour IPAs, hazies, and IPAs forming the core of the lineup. It is a setup that works both for days when you want to enjoy hop aroma and days when you want to keep drinking and compare how the flavors evolve.
Six Beers Coming Next
The NEXT TAP BEER selection includes Hino Brewing "Yare Yare Ale," Yorocco Beer "Skywalker IPA," Koshien Outfield "643 (Rokuyonsan)," Nomcraft "7th Anniversary West Coast IPA," Oloi Brewing "Seki," and Kunitachi Brewery "Base on Top." Together with the current taps, it makes for a lineup that invites tasting across a range of Japanese breweries.
On the food side, in addition to a photo of oven-baked marinated pork spare ribs, the pub also highlights a number of irregular specials such as a seafood four-item platter, assorted grilled sausages, tender beef tendon simmered with sansho pepper, grilled aged tofu topped with lots of green onions, simmered Hokkaido kigusuri shellfish, and shrimp and fresh tomato peperoncino pasta. Rather than just following the beer by itself, the presentation emphasizes enjoying it together with food, which is very much in TBE Brewing's style.
For anyone around Ebisu Station looking to plan both the first beer and the next one, this is a worthwhile update to keep an eye on.
