Mizonokuchi Brewery Announces “NOKUCHI RUN&BEER vol.2” and a Night Run Project in June
Mizonokuchi Brewery in Kawasaki, Kanagawa announced two events combining running and beer on Instagram. Both the June 13 “NOKUCHI RUN&BEER vol.2” and the June 17 “NOKUCHI NIGHT RUN vol.1” are free to join on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mizonokuchi Brewery, based in Mizonokuchi in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa, is a microbrewery founded by people from the food and beverage industry. With a taproom and market space, it values not just drinking beer, but creating a place where people can gather and spend time together.
In this Instagram post, two projects blending running and beer were announced. One is NOKUCHI RUN&BEER vol.2. It will be held on Saturday, June 13, and is limited to the first 20 participants. The schedule runs from gathering at 8:20 a.m., start at 8:30, a toast and commemorative photo at 9:10, and finish at 10:00, with the event centered on a relaxed run of about 30 minutes. The pace is expected to be around 7:00-7:30/km, participation is free, and the meeting place is Mizonokuchi Brewery. As a perk, each participant gets one glass of the brewery's original lager.
The other is NOKUCHI NIGHT RUN vol.1. This one meets and starts at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, and is limited to the first 10 participants. The run covers 10 km at roughly a 5:30-6:00/km pace, and luggage storage will be provided. Participation is free, but it is clearly noted that the night run does not include the celebratory beer perk.
Applications are accepted via Luma through the link tree in the profile, and registration closes once capacity is reached. The events will go ahead in the rain but will be canceled in severe weather, and whether they will be held will be announced on Instagram Stories. It is worth watching as a community event that connects beer and everyday life in a way that feels true to Mizonokuchi Brewery.
