Five beers on the September 20 lineup

Craft beer pub Marumugi in Arakicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo, has released its tap list for September 20, 2026. Prices are ¥1,200 plus tax and additional charges for a large serving, or ¥900 plus tax and additional charges for a small serving. The selection covers crisp pilsner, hop-forward IPA, amber ale, and a light hoppy ale.

Y.MARKET BREWING’s Frais Pils, from Aichi, is a 4.5% French pilsner described as floral and clean-drinking. It offers an approachable option for guests looking for a refreshing beer to pair with food.

Baird Brewing’s Brewer’s Nightmare Rye IPA, from Shizuoka, comes in at 7.0%. Its spicy rye character and intense bitterness make it the most assertive choice on the list.

Vector Brewing’s O-nedari White Sox, from Tokyo, is 6.5% and features a sweet aroma. Romantic Village Craft Brewery’s Maple Amber Ale, from Tochigi, is 6.0%, combining sweet, toasted notes with a rich amber ale profile.

The fifth beer is Little Thing from Hinomoto Brewing, also in Tokyo. At 4.5%, it is described as light and hoppy, designed for easy drinking on a warm day.

Located on the second floor of Ichibankan Building in Arakicho, Marumugi is a small beer pub focused on craft beers from across Japan. Because a typhoon was expected to bring heavy rain, the pub advised customers to arrive early. No new kegs would be opened after beers sold out, and the pub might close if no guests arrived by 10 p.m. Checking the day’s operating status before visiting is recommended.
