Waiwai G Factory Reveals Three Original Beers to Mark Its 10th Anniversary
Waiwai G Factory introduced three original beers for its 10th anniversary on Instagram. The lineup includes "P.S., To the Red Star," a reinterpretation of a lager; "Continuum," an NZ-hop XPA; and "YOMOGI," a beer made with herbs, encouraging drinkers to compare them side by side.
The Chiba City brewery Waiwai G Factory unveiled three original beers for its 10th anniversary on Instagram. In the post, framed as a "no-collab" anniversary project, it lined up three bottles with very different flavor directions, creating a format that conveys the fun of tasting them side by side.
Waiwai G Factory is a brewery built around original beers. For this anniversary, it prepared a broad lineup ranging from an approachable pint to a strongly distinctive one, true to the occasion.
- P.S., To the Red Star
A lager-inspired beer said to evoke the first drink you order at a yakitori shop. It has a moderate bitterness that pairs well with any meal and a body that is not too light.
- Continuum
A bright XPA brewed with New Zealand hops. Aromas reminiscent of passion fruit, lime peel, and white grapes are layered over a light malt body, resulting in a crisp, refreshing drink.
- YOMOGI
In line with the 10th anniversary, this is a Japanized take on a gruit made with herbs instead of hops. It combines yomogi, yarrow, juniper berry, bitter tea, licorice, and more, aiming for a medicinal-liqueur-like character.
The post also included guidance on buying tickets to enjoy the three beers at a discount. True to an anniversary release, it showed both drinkability and experimentation, making it a reveal that says a lot about the brewery’s current position.
