Sankt Gallen begins serving its summer Extra Cold pours at its Atsugi taproom
Sankt Gallen Taproom in Atsugi, Kanagawa has started serving its seasonal Extra Cold pours again this summer. Using a special beer server that chills beer below 0°C, the offering showcases the brewery’s factory-direct draft beer at its own taproom.
A summer staple returns
Sankt Gallen Taproom has started serving its popular summer Extra Cold again this year. The beer is poured through a special server that chills it to below 0°C, making it a serving style designed for hot weather.
A taproom rooted in Atsugi
Sankt Gallen is based in Atsugi, Kanagawa. According to the brewery’s official history, it established its brewery in Atsugi in 1997. Its direct taproom is located just north of Hon-Atsugi Station and is known for serving freshly delivered draft beer straight from the brewery.
The taproom offers up to 20 beers on draft. Alongside core offerings such as Golden Ale, Pale Ale, and YOKOHAMA XPA, the lineup also includes seasonal and fruit-forward beers like Shonan Gold, Pineapple Ale, and Watermelon Wheat.
A different way to enjoy beer
Craft beer is often appreciated for aroma and flavor, but Extra Cold adds a strong refreshing edge to the experience. In a venue like Sankt Gallen Taproom, where both flagship beers and seasonal releases are available, drinkers can choose depending on the weather and their mood. If you are in the Atsugi area, it is a seasonal pour worth noting as summer begins.
