The Hideji Beer Mukabaki Brewery, based in Nobeoka, Miyazaki, has announced that it will open a booth at Fukuoka’s annual spring event, "Kyushu Sake Brewery Opening 2026." The announcement was made in an Instagram post dated March 14, 2026.
The venue is the large-roof event space at JR Hakata Station Plaza. According to the event’s official information, it will run from Thursday, March 19 to Tuesday, March 24, bringing together breweries and distilleries from Kyushu and across Japan for a wide range of drinks centered on sake. Hideji Beer will be participating for four days, from Saturday, March 21 to Tuesday, March 24, with the following hours listed in the post:
- Saturday, March 21: 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Sunday, March 22: 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Monday, March 23: 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Tuesday, March 24: 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM
This booth appearance was said to have been made possible through ties with Sumiyoshi Sake Shop, a liquor retailer in Fukuoka, and is being positioned as a way to share the appeal of craft beer within a setting that promotes sake culture. A sake brewery that brews rice, and a brewery that brews barley. Although the genres differ, both share the message of bringing out the blessings of the local land and enjoying them alongside food, which makes this an especially interesting point for craft beer fans.
Hideji Beer is a brewery that has long continued brewing at the foot of Mt. Mukabaki in the Sobo-Katamuki Quasi-National Park, using natural water and a house-cultivated yeast. Founded in 1996, it has supported Miyazaki’s craft beer culture for many years. Four days in which beer nurtured by Miyazaki’s nature can be enjoyed in the midst of a sake festival. Spring in Hakata may add one more choice to the glass.
