BEER CAFE GAMBRINUS, a one-minute walk from the south exit of Kokubunji Station, will open at 3:00 p.m. to mark "Showa Day" on April 29, 2026. The shop is a beer pub that primarily lines up Japanese craft beers on 14 taps, and its appeal is the chance to slowly enjoy draft beer together with homemade dishes by Ichii, a Japanese cuisine chef.

The draft beer tapped as today’s special on this day is Kakegawa Farm / Milder Seven [Bitter]. As a mild, easy-drinking bitter, it should make for a beer that pairs nicely with food. Other offerings span a wide range of flavors, including U.B.P Brewery, Nomcraft, Y Market, Ise Kadoya Beer, Hansharo Beer, Daisen G Beer, Hiroshima Neighborly, Yokohama Bay Brewing, and Pilsner Urquell.

The main lineup on tap is as follows.
- U.B.P Brewery / Step Over [West Coast IPA] (Saitama)
- Nomcraft / Mystic Tiger [Hazy IPA] (Wakayama)
- U.B.P Brewery / La Bomba [Imperial Stout] (Saitama)
- Y Market / Overdrive IPA (Aichi)
- Ise Kadoya Beer / Golden Dragon [Session Pale Ale] (Mie)
- Hansharo Beer / Pineapple Weizen [Fruit Weizen] (Shizuoka)
- Daisen G Beer / Marihana Yasogo [Sake Rice Ale] (Tottori)
- Hiroshima Neighborly / Rinshizakura-hen [Barrel-Aged Wheat Wine] (Hiroshima)
- Yokohama Bay Brewing / Bay Pilsner [Bohemian Pilsner] (Kanagawa)
- Kakegawa Farm / Forever Love [Hazy IPA] (Shizuoka)
- Nomcraft / Buffalo Bandit [American IPA] (Wakayama)
- Pilsner Urquell (Czech Republic)

In addition, Nara Brewing / Space Pocket [Double IPA] (Nara) and Shiga Kogen Beer / Kind of Gold [Imperial IPA] (Nagano) are also announced as Coming Soon.

On the food side, the menu features Showa-inspired items such as tulip fried chicken, ham cutlet, octopus-shaped sausages, meat sauce spaghetti, Bon Curry, and Oriental Ma's Curry. With a fully non-smoking interior, no cover charge, and a layout that works well for solo drinking or group visits, it is a place where you can calmly enjoy the pairing of draft beer and food.
