Teenage Brewing to Release SHOHEI Part 2, "Zen IPA," on March 27
Teenage Brewing has announced the second collaboration beer with fashion brand SHOHEI, "SHOHEI Zen IPA." The release date is March 27, 2026, and a pre-release tapping event will also be held on March 20 at Shibuya PARCO.
Teenage Brewing (Saitama) will release "SHOHEI Zen IPA" as the second collaboration beer commemorating fashion brand SHOHEI's capsule collection "ZEN IS PUNK."
The newly announced specs are a Persimmon DIPA (ABV 6.0%). In the post, it is described as a more approachable update to the previous "SHOHEI," which gained popularity in 2023. The beer layers rich, smooth fruit character from domestically grown persimmons with hazy body, hop-driven aroma, and a light bitterness. The hops used are Mosaic, Superdelic, Nelson Sauvin, Nelson Sauvin CGX, and Rakau.
Sales will begin on March 27, 2026 for both trade accounts and general customers. Ahead of that, a pre-release tapping launch event will be held on March 20 from 16:00 to 22:30 at "Tachinomi Beer Boy Shibuya PARCO." The venue is scheduled to feature an exhibition, talk show, and DJ program, along with a talk on the production background by SHOHEI founder Shohei Yamamoto.
Based in Tokigawa, Saitama, Teenage Brewing has built a reputation for original brewing centered on IPAs and sour ales. For a brewery that has long valued connections with music and culture, this fashion collaboration looks like a natural extension of that direction.
