A Brewery Making Beer from Bread
Bread Ale Brewery is a brewery with an attached bakery operating near Sengawa Station. Its official information highlights an initiative to brew beer using bread that would otherwise go to waste, giving the brewery a distinctive identity centered on both bread and beer. Its address is 3-3-4 Sengawacho, Chofu City, Tokyo, and it is known as a brewery rooted in the local community.
This “Chofu Minna no Beer Festival” is a perfect fit for that local character. By bringing together distinctive breweries from along the line, it gives visitors a chance to compare beers they would normally drink in different towns, all in Chofu.
Expansion Unique to a First-Time Event
The event is scheduled to run from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with light rain or shine and cancellation in the case of severe weather. On site, there will be a promotion offering coupon tickets usable at the Seiseki Sakuragaoka event to customers who spend 700 yen or more at the breweries, as well as sales of multi-use ticket books. With a tie-in to the “Seiseki Spring Beer Festival,” which begins on April 23, the ways to enjoy beer along the Keio Line are likely to expand.
In the station-front space of Chofu, this event brings together local breweries and food in one place. For Bread Ale Brewery as well, it will be a notable opportunity to share the story behind the brewery while serving its beer.
