Bread Ale Brewery to Open at the Seiseki Spring Beer Festival from April 23
Bread Ale Brewery in Sengawa, Chofu City, will be setting up at the "Seiseki Spring Beer Festival," held at Keio Seiseki-Sakuragaoka Shopping Center from April 23 to 26. Visitors will be able to taste the brewery’s core lineup, which is brewed using discarded bread.
Located in Sengawa, Chofu City, Bread Ale Brewery is a microbrewery with an attached bakery. It promotes a "bread x beer" initiative that uses discarded bread as a brewing ingredient, and the shop also lets visitors enjoy bread-and-beer pairings.
This time, the brewery will appear at "Seiseki Spring Beer Festival" at Keio Seiseki-Sakuragaoka Shopping Center. The post says the event will run from Thursday, April 23 through Sunday, April 26, and that "from the standard beers to popular labels" will be available on site. The lineup introduced includes White (Wheat Ale), Baguette (APA), Rye (English IPA), Porter, and more. It also says visitors can compare beers through flights, making it easy to sample different styles in small amounts.
Bread Ale Brewery opened in 2024, about a five-minute walk from Sengawa Station. As a place that connects the everyday appeal of a bakery with the enjoyment of craft beer, it has been making its presence felt at local events as well. At this appearance too, it will be worth paying attention to the differences among each beer, from the bread-derived texture to the grain notes. If you stop by the Sengawa shop after tasting at the venue, you can confirm the character of the same beers in both an event setting and an everyday one.
