Featured taps today

On Monday, May 18, Craft Beer & Wine THE DODO HOUSE operated on shortened hours of 17:00-22:00 due to circumstances. In keeping with this Meguro beer pub, the lineup centered on Japanese craft beer and featured beers that pair easily with food.

Two new beers were added. Shimanami Brewery's "First Lager" is a lager built around the crisp character of a pilsner style, with rice from Hiroshima City and Fuchu City added to draw out the umami of the malt. Noble hop aromatics stand out, making it an easy pick for a first glass. Shiga Kogen Beer's "From Scratch" is designed with the soft character of a blonde ale, plus citrus notes and a subtle toastiness, suggesting it works well as a beer to drink with a meal.

The other taps that day were Kobo Brewery's "Crazy," Good Hops' "Do Good," Uchoten Brewing's "Black Box," Nara Brewing's "Spiral," and Johana Beer's "Great Blue." In addition to the two new beers, the lineup ranged from a light lager to distinctive ales, making it easy to choose based on your mood or the food you are having.

THE DODO HOUSE is a beer pub centered on Japanese craft beer and wine. It is easy to drop in without pretense, and its appeal is that you can relax with beer as the main attraction. The venue also notes a two-day weekly closing schedule in May, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, so it is a good idea to check the business information before visiting.
