New taps

vivo! BEER+DININGBAR, a craft-beer-focused pub in Ikebukuro, has added two new beers to its draft lineup. The bar offers 20 draft lines, and on Saturdays it opens at 3 p.m., which makes it a convenient stop for an afternoon pint.

The headline addition is Revision IPA from Revision. It is an American IPA built around Simcoe hops, with tropical fruit, citrus, orange, and pine-like notes layered through the aroma and flavor. It is a clear example of hop-forward brewing.

The other new tap is Minoh Beer Koucha Bitter. Its profile leans in a different direction, combining soft malt richness and moderate bitterness with Earl Grey-like bergamot aromatics. The result is a calmer beer with a composed finish.

The day’s draft list also includes Carl Strauss Mosaic Session IPA, Shiga Kogen KASUMI, Minoh Beer W-IPA, North Coast Old Rasputin, Draught Guinness from St. James's Gate, and Kirin Heartland. With American IPA, stout, and lager all on tap, the bar gives drinkers several styles to compare in one visit.

Seasonal dishes such as homemade duck ham, a cold omelet, and a spicy hamburger are also listed, so the lineup works well for both beer-first visits and meals with friends.
