OUR BREWING, based in Fukui City, has introduced a new American Pale Ale called New Classic. In its Instagram announcement, the brewery describes the beer as an American Pale Ale that retains malt sweetness while adopting a hop-addition approach commonly used in IPA. The listed specs are ABV 5.5% and IBU 26.3. The grist includes Pilsen, Vienna, Caramunich 1, and Fukui-grown six-row barley malt, while the hop bill features Centennial, Simcoe, and Mosaic.

According to the brewery’s official website, OUR BREWING is a craft beer brand founded by two Fukui natives and focuses on American-style beers that highlight hop character. That local-first, conversation-friendly philosophy is reflected in this release as well.

The brewer’s comment notes aroma and flavor impressions such as orange, bubblegum, and a slight blueberry-like acidity. By combining those hop notes with malt sweetness, the beer is designed to feel fuller than a typical Pale Ale while still remaining approachable for everyday drinking and pairing.

The brewery also says this release was an experiment in leaving more sweetness in the beer by controlling fermentation. Compared with the brewery’s usual dry profile, this batch uses more malt yet still aims for balance and depth. The team says the approach may be applied to future beers as well, positioning New Classic as a step toward a more established house take on Pale Ale.
