Iidabashi's Hop-Scotch Tokyo is announcing a new keg rotation. What will interest beer fans is that the lineup is not centered on a single brewery, but instead crosses several breweries.

The taps currently confirmed include Fremont Brewing's Extra Lush (Triple IPA), Van Henion Brewing's EZ IPA (IPA), West Coast Brewing's Windows to VERTERE 2025 (Hazy Pale Ale), Echoes Brewing's Dubbel Entendre (Belgian Dubbel) and Friedrich Ⅲ (Imperial Oktoberfest Uber Marzen), Oni-Densetsu's Kin-Oni Pale Ale Galaxy ver. (Pale Ale), and Holy Mountain Brewing's Blood ofcthe Ancients (Oak Fermented Saison w/ Yarrow Grass & Nectarine).

Beyond comparing IPAs, the lineup also includes hazy mouthfeel, the malt character of a Belgian Dubbel, the weight of an imperial Marzen, and even a saison with oak-barrel nuance, making it possible to enjoy a wide range of flavors in the same venue. As a beer pub on the Iidabashi-Kagurazaka route, Hop-Scotch Tokyo also makes it easy to drop in after work and build your visit from a first pint to a side-by-side tasting.

If you're pairing food, salty light snacks go well with hop-bitter IPAs, while umami-rich dishes pair nicely with malt-forward beers, making each tap's character easier to appreciate. Since this is the kind of place where kegs turn over quickly, it seems best to check any beer that catches your eye as soon as possible.
