HOJO Brewing & Stays is located in the Hojo area of Matsuyama, Ehime, on the Monchichi Coast. On its official site, the brewery describes itself as “Japan’s closest brewery to the sea.” Guests can drink fresh beer at the taproom with a view of the water, and the second floor of the building also operates as a single-house guesthouse, making it a place where a stay and a beer visit naturally overlap.

The brewery’s latest Instagram post focused on the fit between hot days and saison. It explained that saison yeast tends to ferment steadily in warmer temperatures, which helps keep spicy and fruity notes in balance, while the finished beer often comes out clean and dry. The post also said that saison inventory had been replenished last week.

That message lines up with the current webshop lineup, where several saison-related beers are listed, including Laurel Saison, New Zealand Saison, Rye Saison, and the standard Saison. Alongside IPA and stout, the brewery continues to offer a range that suits seaside drinking and the warmer months especially well.
