Sakamichi Brewing in Tachikawa, Tokyo, introduced its collaboration beer with West Coast Brewing, "The Hop Dukes." According to WCB's official beer page, the style is West Coast IPA and the ABV is 7.0%. It uses Chinook and Citra, and is being released as a joint creation by WCB × Sakamichi Brewing.
According to WCB's description, the beer was inspired by the annual New Zealand hop buying tour and by the new 2026-harvest hops encountered at Pikimai Farm. Centered on Chinook, which both companies selected as the star, it layers bright citrus, tropical fruit, and soft melon aromas, then finishes with grassy, woody nuances and IPA-like bitterness. It is a beer that brings out the individuality of the hops while keeping the drinking balance in mind.
