Better life with upcycle will participate in Setagaya Bread Festival 2026, held from October 31 to November 1, 2026. The brewery’s appearance is scheduled for October 31 only, at an event centered around bread, food, and drinks in Setagaya, Tokyo.

This year’s festival is themed “DANCE with bread” and will feature a total of 260 participating vendors across bakeries, bread accompaniments, food, and drinks. Seventy-one festival-exclusive breads are also scheduled to be offered. Better life with upcycle will appear in the food and drink area alongside breweries, coffee roasters, and other food vendors.

Based in Ebina, Kanagawa, Better life with upcycle is built around an upcycling concept. The brewery uses bread crusts generated through bakery production as a partial substitute for malt, turning a byproduct of breadmaking into craft beer. On its official website, the brand presents this approach as a collaboration between bakery craftsmanship and brewing, while giving new value to food that might otherwise be discarded.

Visitors may be able to enjoy beers such as the brand’s “Bread Crust” alongside freshly baked bread and festival-limited products. The pairing offers more than a simple food-and-drink experience: it also highlights the relationship between the ingredients, the makers, and the stories behind each product.
