A guided look behind the scenes of a brewery you usually cannot see

Kagoya Brewery in Komae, Tokyo, will hold the "Kagoya Brewery Mini Tour" in June. According to the published announcement, the tour dates are June 6, 7, and 20, and each session lasts about 15 minutes. There are two sessions, at 11:00 and 16:00, with participation priced at 1,000 yen including tax, and a souvenir included.

During the tour, staff from Kagoya Akimoto Main Store will guide visitors through the interior of the brewery, which is normally inaccessible, while explaining what they see. Reception begins 10 minutes before each session at the storefront of "Kagoya Main Store", and each session is limited to the first 8 people. It is a casual opportunity to take a short look at the craft beer production site.

Kagoya Brewery is a brewery that, on its official website, promotes itself as making "Japanese beer brewed in Komae, Tokyo." While incorporating traditional Japanese brewing techniques such as wooden vats and kimoto, it emphasizes beers designed to pair well with Japanese cuisine and is known as a brewery rooted in the local community.

This mini tour should offer a chance to learn about the background of that brewing philosophy on site. For anyone who wants to see the atmosphere of the brewery or is interested in the brewing process behind craft beer, it seems like an accessible introductory event.
