Kagoya Brewery has been brewing in Komae, Tokyo since 2017. It grew out of Kagoya Akimoto Shoten, a specialty liquor shop founded in 1902, and positions its beer as "Japanese beer" made with wood-barrel fermentation and domestic ingredients. In 2024, the brewery also opened its own Kagoya Beer Stand in the Izumitamagawa shopping street, strengthening its presence as a locally rooted craft beer maker.

The Instagram post highlighted here announces the July schedule for "Kagoya Enmusubitai," a community-style gathering held at the Beer Stand. The caption thanked everyone who came despite the rain the previous day and then shared the next round of dates. The format is simple: a place to drop in on a Wednesday evening, share a drink, and build connections through beer.

July 2026 schedule

"Enmusubi" has been developed as a local beer from Komae, and Kagoya Brewery has continued to refine it through conversations with the community. Rather than focusing only on packaged products or taproom sales, the brewery keeps building a place where beer is part of a broader social experience. For craft beer fans in Tokyo, Kagoya is as much about the atmosphere and the people as it is about what is in the glass.
