Flora Fermentation, a craft brewery based in Higashiomi, Shiga, has released a new beer called Nektar -Berry & Pear-. Listed on the brewery's official store as a new product, it is a Fruits Sour Ale with 5.0% ABV and 12 IBU.

The beer is built around a mix of blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, and blackcurrant, with pear added as a soft finishing layer. According to the product description, the combination gives the beer a bright berry aroma, fresh fruit character, and a gentle depth from the pear. The result is positioned as a fruit-rich sour ale with a sweet-tart profile.

It is packaged in 350 ml cans. The spec sheet also lists Northstar Pils and Wheat Malt White, with Cascade from Kamifurano as the hop variety. That structure suggests a base that supports the fruit without overpowering it, keeping the beer readable as a sour ale rather than a dessert-like fruit beverage.

Flora Fermentation operates in Higashiomi, Shiga, and the brewery describes itself as a project shaped by three brewers. Its lineup often reflects a balance between clear brewing structure and expressive ingredients, and Nektar -Berry & Pear- fits that direction well. For drinkers who enjoy fruit-driven sour ales, this is a release worth noting.
