HOJO Brewing & Stays to Host a Seaside Open-Air Cool-Down x Craft Beer Löyly Experience on May 16
HOJO Brewing & Stays in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, will hold a "Seaside Open-Air Cool-Down x Craft Beer Löyly Experience" on May 16. The event is free to attend and makes use of its location overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, offering an easy, reservation-free sauna experience.
HOJO Brewing & Stays is a brewery and whole-building inn located on Monchichi Beach in the Hojo area of Matsuyama City. One of its major attractions is the taproom on the first floor, where guests can enjoy original beers while looking out over the Seto Inland Sea, making it a well-known spot for combining a seaside stay with craft beer.
This event is a sauna program that takes advantage of that location. The craft beer löyly, which was well received last year, will be held again this year, letting participants enjoy a toasty aroma in step with the heat of the sauna, then cool down outdoors while feeling the breeze from the Seto Inland Sea right in front of them. For craft beer fans, the fact that the experience is designed not just to "drink" beer, but to enjoy it through aroma and aftertaste, is also worth noting.
The event will be held on May 16. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the final check-in at 3:30 p.m. Participation is free, and each session lasts about 15 minutes, with up to four people taking turns per session. No reservation is required, but numbered tickets may be distributed if it gets crowded. Participants will also receive a 10% off craft beer coupon.
The venue is 32-70 Shimonanba Ko, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. It is about a 5-minute taxi ride from Hojo Station, and there is a direct bus from Matsuyama Station to Hojo Bus Stop. Parking for about 10 vehicles is also available. It is an event that reflects HOJO Brewing & Stays' style, combining a seaside location with craft beer.
