Totepia Brewery announced its new release in an Instagram post titled “-New Release-”: Abyssphobia. With the subtitle “fear of the abyss,” this beer carries on the brewery's “phobia” series.

This release's specs are 2x Mash TDH Hazy TIPA and 10.0% ABV. The hops are a four-variety lineup of Citra / Krush / Citra Cryo / Krush Cryo. The post describes a dense white-yellow liquid, juicy notes reminiscent of ripe mango and peach nectar, and an aftertaste where dankness and bitterness overlap, suggesting an aromatic profile built for depth and intensity.

Sales schedule: B2B starts Tuesday, February 24 at 15:00, and B2C starts Friday, February 27 at 19:00. It follows an early business-facing rollout before general release, and appears designed with both early on-premise pours and can sales in mind.

Totepia Brewery, based in Aichi, operates an official online store. The brewery has drawn attention for dense recipes that often include Hazy styles. This Abyssphobia also looks set to be a standout among its new releases, balancing hop-driven juiciness with the heft of a high-ABV beer.

From a beer geek perspective, the key thing to watch is how the use of Krush and Cryo hops affects the aroma's lift and the character of the finish bitterness. After release, it will be worth following both draft and can impressions.
