A Yuzu Pour Returns
Great Dane Brewing posted on Instagram that “Yuzu Wheat is back on tap.” From the post title, it is clear that the yuzu-infused wheat beer “YUZU WHEAT” is once again being served on draft.
The brewery is a brand founded in 1994 in Madison, Wisconsin, in the United States. In Japan, it operates a brewery and restaurant in Akiu, Taihaku Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, serving as a place where guests can enjoy freshly made beer. According to its official website, the adjoining restaurant offers up to 16 kinds of beer, which can be enjoyed alongside dishes that make use of ingredients from Tohoku and Miyagi.
The Akiu location is also notable for letting guests dine and drink while looking out over the brewery itself. With YUZU WHEAT back on tap, it should become one of the options for tasting through the brewery’s staples and other seasonal offerings on site. With a yuzu-based beer back on the menu, the lineup at the restaurant has regained a touch of seasonal character.
