Wisconsin roots, brewed in Sendai

Great Dane Brewing traces its roots to a brewery founded in Wisconsin, United States, in 1994. Its Akiu brewery opened in January 2024, bringing the brand’s brewing tradition to Taihaku Ward, Sendai. The brewery describes its approach as combining carefully selected ingredients, long-developed brewing techniques and modern technology while respecting the cultural background of each beer style.

The event will be held at 5 Biwabara, Yumoto, Akiu-machi, Taihaku-ku, Sendai, and will run from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on both days. For beer lovers, it offers a chance to combine a visit to Akiu with local craft beer, food and live music in one weekend experience.
