At Zaimokucho Yoichi on May 30, the "Yoichi Craft Beer Carnival★" is scheduled to be held. Yoichi, known as a street market in Zaimokucho, Morioka City, takes place every Saturday from April through November from 15:10 to 18:30, and on this day it will be a special edition bringing together breweries and cideries from across Iwate Prefecture.

The businesses announced as participants are Tono Brewery, GOOD HOPS, Brew Beast, Rikuzentakata Microbrewery, 315BEER, Akatsuki Brewery, and Green Neighbors Hard Cider, for a total of seven. From Tono City, Tono Brewery and GOOD HOPS will appear side by side, creating a lineup that lets visitors enjoy the distinctive character of different parts of the prefecture.

Tono Brewery is a brewery based in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture. At its directly operated TAPROOM, a three-minute walk from Tono Station, it serves its own craft beer on a permanent lineup of six taps. On its official website, the brewery promotes open beer making, sharing knowledge and ideas with local people against the backdrop of water sources surrounded by the three mountains of Tono, including Mt. Hayachine, and the area's long history of hop cultivation.

Zaimokucho Yoichi has long been a place that combines local food and shopping with events centered on beer. This time, with breweries and cideries from across Iwate in one place, it should be a day where the differences in regional character stand out clearly. Since there are also restrictions on what can be brought into the venue, visitors will want to follow the guidance as they move around and taste each maker's unique character.
