West Coast Brewing’s Starwatcher goes on tap in Makuhari
WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE in Makuhari has tapped West Coast Brewing’s flagship IPA, Starwatcher. The 7.0% West Coast IPA layers grapefruit and citrus over piney, resinous hop character, while the bar also prepares for a two-day manager birthday event this weekend.
West Coast Brewing’s Starwatcher has been tapped at MIHAMA BASE BEER STAND MAKUHARI. Brewed in Shizuoka, this West Coast IPA clocks in at 7.0% ABV and is built with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. The aroma leans into pine, resin, damp earth, and grass, while orange, grapefruit, berry, and melon notes add depth behind the hop bitterness.
MIHAMA BASE is a craft-beer-focused spot in Makuhari, and the venue notes that beer can also be taken out. The post describes the day as a comfortable Thursday after the typhoon has passed, making it an easy stop for a relaxed pint. The bar is also set to host a two-day "manager birthday" event on June 5 and June 6, with a lottery for each pint or half-pint and an original can badge for guests who visit on both days.
The tap list on the day also includes HEARTLAND from KIRIN, Bachelor Bitter from Deschutes, West Coast IPA from Harland, Union Jack from Firestone Walker, Realm Warp from Revision, NEKOBEER’s TDH Hazy IPA Nigori Samurai Nyanpei..., and Ise Kadoya’s Hop Nyaon 11th Fleet. It is a lineup that covers crisp lagers, classic bitters, West Coast IPAs, and hazies, making it a good stop for comparison drinking in Makuhari.
