Yokohama Bay Brewing Front Shop adds spicy gizzard dish and 22 taps
On July 2, Yokohama Bay Brewing's Yokohama Front shop highlighted a new gizzard dish with special mabo sauce and posted a 22-beer tap lineup. The selection mixes house beers, imported classics, and guest taps from several Japanese breweries.
On July 2, Yokohama Bay Brewing's Yokohama Front shop shared its day-of food menu and tap list.
Food
The new dish is "Spicy Gizzard with Special Mabo Sauce." Built on doubanjiang and finished with tianmianjiang and sesame oil, it is described as having a lingering heat that works well with beer. The shop also kept its popular fried horse mackerel on the menu, giving drinkers a familiar snack alongside the new plate.
Beer
The tap list spans 22 beers. House pours include Bay Pilsner, Bay Pilsner Hallertau Edition, Bay Weiss, Yuzu Weiss, Sprint IPA, Freestyle, Flatland, Freedom, Sarah, Steel Soul Fixie, and Bay Pilsner on ball tap, showing the brewery's lager-driven core.
Guest and imported options widen the range: Pilsner Urquell, Jam Session 2, Sansho Lager, Drink All Day, Smooth Dark Lager, Pilsner Northern Style, Pale Ale, Sakare, Second Breath, and Super Sonic Speed Sour. That makes the lineup broad enough to cover pilsners, wheat beers, dark lager, sour beer, and hop-forward styles in one visit.
The Venue
The shop is on the second floor of THE YOKOHAMA FRONT near Yokohama Station. As a beer pub, it works both for a quick stop after work and for a longer tasting session focused on the rotating taps. The day's list offered a good cross-section of Yokohama Bay Brewing's house identity and its guest-beer range.
