Nagano Prefecture’s Suwa City-based Uchoten Brewing will take part in the monthly rotating project "Hello!! Project" held at the Chigasaki taproom PEPOWN. PEPOWN is the directly operated shop of PASSIFIC BREWING, which brews beer in Chigasaki, and it is described as a project with the goal of "filling PEPOWN’s taps with beer from one brewery once a month and digging into it together."

The post announced that Uchoten Brewing’s beers will be served over the two days of May 16 and 17, and that the brewer is scheduled to be at the shop from just after 12:00 p.m. until around 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. It also says the shop manager, Mr. Akama, had made a strong impression with his passion for beer and attention to serving, and expresses excitement at the chance to actually drink the brewer’s own beer on site.

It also says there is a connection with Mr. Oba of PASSIFIC BREWING, whom the poster met back when the poster was at Shiga Kogen Beer and the other party was at Minoh Beer. The familiarity between people who have both been involved broadly in brewery operations and events, along with mutual respect for each other’s brewing approach, led to this project. How a brewery from Suwa, Nagano will be received in the trusted space of this taproom is something to watch. It looks like this will be two days to enjoy not only the beer’s flavor, but also the pouring style and the atmosphere of the bar itself.
