Shibuya's Dogenzaka beer pub "Taki〜AKANE〜JapaneseBeer&SakeDining" will be open on Friday, April 10, from 5 p.m. to midnight. For the first two hours after opening, guests can enjoy drinks for 100 yen off as the "Akane Happy Time." The shop bills itself as a place for "Japanese craft beer and sake," and its after-work-friendly hours are part of the appeal.
The draft beer lineup for the day will be the following three kegs:
- Chiba: Locobia "Sakura, Fragrant Draft (Kölsch)"
- Osaka: Minoh Beer "Weizen"
- Ibaraki: Hitachino Nest Beer "Daidai Ale (IPA)"
Among them, Minoh Beer's Weizen is said to have a cloudy, creamy mouthfeel thanks to the wheat used in the ingredients, along with aromas reminiscent of clove and banana. The lineup pairs the briskness of a Kölsch, the aroma of a Weizen, and the citrus character of an IPA, making it a set that clearly invites side-by-side tasting.
The food centers on pub-style Japanese snacks such as fresh fish including yellowtail and red sea bream, firefly squid, bamboo shoots, fried oysters, and smoked daikon pickles with sake lees cream cheese. The shop also serves sake and shochu in addition to beer, so it is easy for groups to choose according to preference. Located on the fourth floor of a building up Dogenzaka from Shibuya Station, it is a convenient place to drop in casually for anything from the first drink to a full meal.
