Fukuoka Craft Brewing Releases Hakata Kabosu Hazy IPA

A flagship Hazy IPA with Kyushu kabosu
Fukuoka Craft Brewing’s Hakata Kabosu Hazy IPA is based on the brewery’s popular flagship Hazy IPA, with kabosu citrus from Kyushu added to the recipe.
The beer combines tropical, citrus-forward hop character with kabosu’s refreshing acidity and subtle herbal nuance. Its expressive hop aroma remains at the center, while the citrus adds a lighter and more refreshing edge.
Kabosu offers a distinctive character compared with more familiar citrus fruits such as lemon or orange, giving the beer a clear connection to Kyushu and its local ingredients.
Brewed with natural water from Okagaki
Fukuoka Craft Brewing is based in Okagaki, Fukuoka. The brewery uses natural water drawn from 50 meters underground in Okagaki. Described as unusually hard water for Japan, it is considered essential to the brewery’s vision for its beers.
Together with Kyushu-grown kabosu, this local water gives Hakata Kabosu Hazy IPA a strong sense of place and reflects the brewery’s mission to share carefully crafted beer from Fukuoka with drinkers around the world.
The beer is a 6.5% Hazy IPA priced at ¥792. It is a refrigerated product and should be kept chilled after purchase.
