Tap List for May 4
Evolve Beer&Kitchen, located in Mukojima, Sumida Ward, just a 30-second walk from Tokyo Skytree Station, released its business information and tap list for May 4. The shop, which reopened on April 3, offers a relaxed space with counter seating, table seating, and terrace seating, making it an easy-to-enter beer pub even for solo visitors.
The new tap for the day is Matsumoto Brewery’s "OLD SHILLING Scottish Heavy ~Nitro ver.~". This 3.5% Scottish ale is served on nitro, and its soft mouthfeel makes it a particularly intriguing beer. The taps also feature a wide range of styles, including NARA BREWING Co.’s "DAYLONG" and "LOCOMOTION", Minoh Beer’s "Honey Saison", Minoh Beer x Mikkeller’s "Ume-chu", and West Coast Brewing’s "No Ketchup".
The collaborations are another highlight. The lineup spans everything from lager, weizen, fruit sour, and IPA, including Minoh Beer x Akishika Sake Brewery’s "Saruyama Shikanosuke", Repubrew x Heisei 3 Nenkai’s "AGE AGE SAME AGE", and NOMCRAFT BREWING’s "Banana Kick". Draft Sapporo’s "Black Label" is also on tap, creating a lineup that works well for everything from casual drinking to side-by-side tastings.
On the food side, special menu items were also announced, including red-and-white sashimi of bluefin tuna and flounder, flounder namero with green onion and salt, chicken tender and mushroom tossed with yuzu pepper mayo, deep-fried taro with dashi, homemade green onion chashu, and matcha tiramisu. Beyond snacks to pair with beer, the shop’s strength is that it also offers dishes for when you want to eat a full meal, as well as sweets.
On May 4, the shop opens at 3:00 p.m. The next day, it will participate as a drinker at a Roppongi event, followed by a private booking at night, and it is scheduled to be closed on May 7. If there is a beer you are curious about, it is best to visit early.
